Manny is a fun and enlightening children’s book that introduces us to the life of Hezzie, a ten-year-old boy with an extraordinary secret: his imaginary friend, Manny. Even though no one can see Manny, Hezzie insists that Manny guides him and gives him wise advice. At first, his parents are cautiously optimistic, but things get a little challenging when he decides to share more about Manny. Hezzie’s life in his small and tightly knit community is suddenly complicated by the disbelief and skepticism of those around him concerning Manny, including his family and peers.
His parents start giving Hezzie a hard time about Manny until one day Hezzie faces a dangerous situation. In spite of their doubts, Hezzie finds solace and guidance in his conversations with Manny, who appears to him in a form only he can perceive. Author John Coleman takes kids on this journey with Hezzie and his imaginary friend Manny. In his book, kids gain an understanding on faith and the true friend we find in God.
